Tokendoo is a pre-release service that rewrites JSON losslessly to reduce its token cost in LLM calls, using model-specific vocabularies.

Why it surfaced

This is unusually candid compression research: the page reports a 0.3868 median token ratio on its derived alphabet, includes the format dictionary in every measurement, and admits that its gains can disappear on small payloads. The codec is published under Apache 2.0; the not-yet-public service is meant to keep adapting the spelling to each model’s tokenizer.
