PasteWand is a macOS desktop tool that turns copied text, files, or folders into a scoped workspace for AI-assisted edits.

Why it surfaced

Its safety model is unusually concrete: the AI works against an in-memory copy, every change is staged for review, source files are hashed before applying, and approved edits can be undone as one group. Users can bring their own OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or compatible endpoint instead of handing the workflow to a single provider.

The Fax Is Thinking

August 8’s newborn domains include a chatbot that replies only by fax, an Elmira tax analysis built from 1,689 sales, a map protecting Jeju divers’ precise fishing grounds, and 58 boxes catalogued into one uncle’s 1,113-book library.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-08 Domain Arrivals issue.
