Canonical English is a controlled subset of English for machine-readable, machine-checkable communication, with URI-grounded proper nouns and a linter called noah.

Why it surfaced

The project combines an Attempto Computable English grammar, a vocabulary graph, semantic-web links, version metadata, and automatic checking in one open specification. Its ambition is unusually large: English that remains expressive and readable while removing ambiguity for machines.
