GAP is a draft protocol for sending signed, raw ESG activity measurements from their source to investors’ AI agents through APIs and MCP.

Why it surfaced

Its central rule is unusually clear: transmit measured activity such as electricity usage, but reject payloads that already contain derived emissions figures. The site includes a normative specification, JSON schemas, test vectors, Ed25519 and SHA-256 signatures, a reference implementation, and deterministic MCP tools.
