AOKIstudio documents a participatory art installation in Tokyo, where visitors move through a 20-square-metre room lined with LED screens and encounter live images of themselves inside shifting virtual spaces.

Why it surfaced

The installation makes its visitors both spectators and performers, asking whether represented space can begin to feel more real than physical space. Its concept, scenographic proposal, credits, making-of material, and homage to Malevich, Kandinsky, and Mondrian give the project an unusually complete artistic record.
