RollIQ is unusually candid about the awkward parts of machine vision: merged bodies, an intervening referee, and identification failures are presented as uncertainty rather than quietly guessed away. Its solo builder says he is also using the system to prepare for his first competition, giving the project a concrete athlete-and-engineer point of view.
