A self-hosted, single-user portfolio ledger that stores append-only trade rows in Postgres and recomputes positions, cost basis, and P&L on read.

Why it surfaced

PortfolioDB is unusually explicit about its architecture and its limits: there is no positions table, shorts are unsupported, stale prices are rejected, and corrections arrive as new rows rather than edits. It also exposes the same portfolio engines to AI agents through a read-only MCP server, making this a thoughtful specimen of self-hosted financial software built for an agent-shaped future.
