Ripieno is building small, simple software for small-town businesses, including a local service directory and a text-first scheduling and invoicing tool.

Why it surfaced

Its founding argument is unusually concrete: a two-person shop should not need enterprise software, and a text message may be more useful than a dashboard. The project plans to give its tools free to businesses in its own town, then fund them through towns that follow.
