Why it surfaced

Unfaked explains its limits unusually plainly: it uses CSS and DOM rules, a human-reviewed blocklist, and local C2PA metadata rather than pretending to detect all AI content. The Austria-built project is still in development, but its precise mechanism, no-tracking stance, and refreshable rules make this a promising tool to watch.
