A mechanical-engineering portfolio covering a student-founded defense startup, a gymnastics-equipment business, and CU Boulder engineering projects.

Why it surfaced

Worrell is designing a single unmanned vehicle intended to move from air to water and back again, with folding rotor arms, sealed avionics, and separate air and underwater propulsion. The project is still a design target awaiting physical validation, but the portfolio makes the engineering tradeoffs unusually concrete—and pairs them with the story of a 4.0 student who has already sold 500-plus backpacks through another company.

The Two-Tonne Temperature Problem

August 15’s newborn domains include a live-aboard hydrogen airship with a two-tonne lift problem, a Japanese toolbox that explains its assumptions, an advisory-by-advisory Hawaiʻi hurricane archive, and a wedding-gift game about ungrateful poultry.
