An offline Windows tool that scans email exports, documents, and images for US and Canadian PII/PHI, then produces local PDF and CSV reports.

Why it surfaced

VellumSoft is built around a concrete constraint: regulated records never leave the workstation, and a failed network call is supposed to stop the scan. The page also earns trust by listing unreadable formats, OCR weaknesses, confidence scoring, and planned detectors it does not yet claim to support.

The Two-Tonne Temperature Problem

August 15’s newborn domains include a live-aboard hydrogen airship with a two-tonne lift problem, a Japanese toolbox that explains its assumptions, an advisory-by-advisory Hawaiʻi hurricane archive, and a wedding-gift game about ungrateful poultry.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-15 Domain Arrivals issue.
