Why it surfaced

ConFacts makes a narrow, consequential task legible: its sample audit cites 13 inspections, 12 violations, and $64,000 in penalties, with each finding tied to a source. Its promise to avoid paid placement and contractor lead sales gives the site an unusually clear editorial and consumer-protection angle.
