Retmo is an open-source, local-first tracker for tasks, spending, and habits, designed to work without accounts, servers, or telemetry.

Why it surfaced

This is a small tool with unusually firm principles: money is stored in integer cents, habit streaks use local-day keys, and the whole database lives in one copyable JSON file. Its self-hosting plan is equally concrete—a static web app with an optional Cloudflare Worker sync layer—making “boring by design” feel like an actual product decision rather than a slogan.

The 240-Material Organ

August 16’s newborn domains include a 240-material perfume organ, a repeatedly saved JPEG cat, a ski tracker designed by a 15-year-old, and a searchable page claiming to contain 148,303 prescription records.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-16 Domain Arrivals issue.
