TaskPack is an open file format for passing unfinished work between AI agents, machines, people, and vendors without requiring a live connection.

Why it surfaced

Its central rule is unusually sharp: a verified fact loses its checkmark when it crosses a machine boundary, with the original machine and verification scope recorded instead. The format also refuses to carry credentials, treats embedded instructions as data rather than authority, and includes interchangeable encodings plus a conformance command.
