An open-source educational launch-vehicle simulator and analyzer covering ascent physics, staging, orbital mechanics, numerical integration, and model validation.

Why it surfaced

AscentBench makes its assumptions unusually visible: a 2D model, RK4 integration, serial staging, and a planar two-body orbit model are all stated alongside explicit limits such as omitted J2, oblateness, and third-body gravity. Its traceability system labels inputs as published, derived, estimated, or assumed—a useful antidote to false precision in technical simulation.
