Phaselight is a real-time VJ instrument for Windows and macOS, combining shaders, 3D scenes, fluid effects, projection shapes, live media, audio reactivity, MIDI, and streaming outputs.

Why it surfaced

This is unusually specific software with the texture of a real performance instrument rather than a generic visual-effects app. Its CUE/TAKE workflow lets performers prepare a look privately and commit it live, while 16 LFOs, audio envelopes, MIDI, NDI, and virtual-camera output connect the rig to stages, projectors, OBS, and streams.
