An iPhone app that turns first-name discovery into a shared journey across a world map, with name histories, rankings, routes, and illustrated postcards.

Why it surfaced

Nominomad combines 12,308 names from 281 countries and regions with an unusually tactile premise: two people travel through name-based routes, turning over postcards and saving what resonates. The site says everything stays on the device, without an account, advertising, or someone reading along—a rare amount of care for an app that has not yet reached the App Store.

The Song Resumes After the Story

August 19’s newborn domains include a Hawaiʻi road-trip radio that resumes each song after a GPS-triggered story, an offline Chattanooga recovery map, a 100 KiB operating system running Doom, and an archive of 169,588 Discord roleplay messages.

This is one of 1,000 discoveries in the 2026-08-19 Domain Arrivals issue.
