B.A.G. gives its first clothing drop the logic of a specimen archive: each piece is a “strain” with a phenotype, batch code, and cut count. The site’s emphatic rejection of generated art—“Every line on every garment was drawn by a human hand”—makes it a particularly clear artifact of the current push to sell handmade work as a cultural distinction.
