Why it surfaced

Chomp turns a missing jump button into the premise: the cartridge shipped with “bite and nothing else.” Its tiny interactive world builds lore from bread, rocks, remotes, soap, and a glowing purple object, with a wonderfully committed warning that there is no save file.

A deliberately unfinished 8-bit game in which the only control is biting things.
