Why it surfaced

The site commits to its imaginary state: a restored regime, a 19-week countdown, weekly questions, a treasury that insists “Dong Bucks” do not exist, and a tax that funds the visitor’s own trophy. Its deadpan political copy gives the whole thing a surprisingly coherent little bureaucracy.
