The site gives its subject a memorable name—“the deliberate retroactive straight-washing of history”—then develops it through primers, field notes, and essays such as “The Internet You Miss Never Existed” and “Traditional Family Values” and the Labour They Conceal. Its author, Leena, connects the project to a decade of research, a published book on misogyny in videogame culture, and ongoing public work.
