OwnVault, the password manager with nowhere to upload
OwnVault is a local-only password manager that encrypts vault data on a phone without an account, cloud vault, subscription, or requested network access.
Why it surfaced
Its security promise is unusually concrete: the site says it uses per-password AES-256-GCM encryption alongside SQLCipher for the database, while keeping entries and backups under the user’s control. It also plainly states the tradeoff—no instant multi-device sync, family sharing, or desktop browser extensions—and is currently marked App Store coming soon and Google Play closed beta.
