PRECIPIQ, the Weather Forecast That Keeps Score
A public rain-and-snow forecast board that ranks 14 U.S. cities, freezes predictions at set times, and checks them against what actually happened.
Why it surfaced
PRECIPIQ treats weather forecasting like a prediction contest: today’s board freezes at a 7 AM ET cutoff, tomorrow’s at 6 PM, and the forecasts cannot be quietly rewritten by later radar data. It also exposes momentum, model disagreement, missing evidence, Brier scores, and separate radar-shadow results instead of presenting a single magical percentage.
