Why it surfaced

ShelfPrice rejects the usual scraping shortcut: one computer can only keep observing its own price. Its extension uses real shoppers to identify where to look, then publishes only controlled measurements that rule out currency, shipping, tax, region, stock, and A/B testing—and promises never to record browsing history.
