aidep, the model deprecation tracker
A command-line and GitHub tool that finds retired or retiring AI model identifiers in a repository and opens migration pull requests.
Why it surfaced
aidep tracks OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google retirement dates, then connects those dates to code, proposed rewrites, and CI evals. Its sharpest warning is that 29 of 174 listed replacement models are themselves already deprecated—a useful argument for treating model migrations as an ongoing engineering problem, not a one-off agent task.
