Knitted is unusually candid about the difficult plumbing beneath a simple call: WebRTC, STUN, TURN, UDP, TCP, TLS, and fallback routes for restrictive networks. Its promise is modest and appealing—no feed, no ads, no algorithm—and its maker openly says end-to-end encryption is not ready to claim yet.
