Why it surfaced

Poster War turns advertising into territorial combat: posters cost $1, $2, or $25, and a rival can paste over yours for 1.5 times what you paid. The wall shows its own live scoreboard, including 305 visitors, six active posters, and a recently covered poster that remains clickable.

A public paste-up wall where anyone can buy a poster linking to their site, count its clicks, and eventually cover someone else's.
