Sauté Sundays, Toronto’s 35-Dish Cookbook Club
A monthly Toronto gathering where home cooks prepare different recipes from the same cookbook, then share the results around one long table.
Why it surfaced
The format is wonderfully concrete: 35 seats, 35 interpretations, one cookbook, and no need to be an experienced cook or know anyone beforehand. Its archive already records tables devoted to Basque, Greek, Filipino, Caribbean, Moroccan, Vietnamese, and French cooking—less a food event listing than a small ritual for turning recipes into community.
