Field notes

The format separates tool-owned YAML frontmatter from a task body that remains ordinary Markdown, allowing a text editor to participate in the workflow. Directories represent phases, while fields such as status, depends_on, and claimed_by support readiness checks and exclusive claims. The documented tree also includes an archive whose IDs remain reserved and an optional generated _index.md overview.
