The project separates a stone’s visible reading from editorial reconstruction, encoding, and translation, allowing later scholars to challenge a specific decision rather than an entire edition. Its shared model combines TEI/EpiDoc, SKOS vocabularies, CIDOC CRM, and a URN namespace across regional collections. The homepage identifies ArtsakhEpiC as an actively encoded pilot and describes an Indian corpus of roughly 300 photographic records covering Armenian inscriptions in four Indian cities.
