A local-first browser screen recorder that automatically zooms and pans toward your cursor, then exports an editable WebM.

Landing page captured for the 2026-08-25 issue.

Field notes

Frame uses the browser tab as its capture surface and turns pointer movement into editable zoom and pan instructions. The page says capture, zoom math, editing, and rendering run locally, with a WebM written to disk rather than uploaded. Free output is 1080p in 16:9; the stated Pro license adds 4K, microphone and camera capture, custom backgrounds, and vertical or square formats. Installation currently includes a load-unpacked route because the Chrome Web Store listing is not live.
