The calculator pools all entered pallets into one shipment-level density rather than classifying each pallet separately. Its reference table runs from class 50 at 50 or more pounds per cubic foot to class 400 below 1 pcf, while the accompanying guidance notes that commodity-specific NMFC classes, stowability, handling, and liability can override a density estimate. The page also supports centimetres and kilograms alongside inches and pounds.
