MWClear reads the bottleneck before the grid study
A local screening tool that imports PSS/E or MATPOWER network models and identifies thermal headroom, binding elements, outages, and modeled rating relief.
Field notes
MWClear accepts PSS/E RAW v33 or MATPOWER models and keeps processing on the user's machine. Its screening output separates normal-operation and connected N−1 thermal headroom, names the binding element and initiating outage, and can include a repeatable analysis ID with an input hash. The displayed 5-bus case reports a 22.6 MW request gap, while the validation material covers 57 cases, including IEEE 30-, 118-, and 300-bus networks.
