Stonesong: A Room Made of Sound
A browser-based fantasy soundscape app built around a firelit chamber of hammered dulcimer, oak crackle, and rain.
Field notes
Stonesong is framed as a persistent browser soundscape rather than a conventional music track. The planned first room, Castle Hearth, layers hammered dulcimer with fire and rain, using recordings made by Devin Mooers in a log cabin in midcoast Maine. The maker describes a fifteen-instrument practice that includes Celtic harp, cello, cittern, Irish flute, bodhrán, and hand percussion. The page currently offers an early-access signup; it says the first room opens soon.
