WhaleWatching.Live, a live map for Pacific Northwest whales
A regional whale-sighting map combining alerts, hydrophone detections, and citizen-science reports.
Field notes
The project combines public conservation feeds, citizen-science observations, community reports, and live Orcasound hydrophones into a regional sightings view. Its workflow runs on a 15-minute aggregation cycle and merges repeat reports, while locations remain approximate and reports are not individually verified. Visitors are asked for practical field details such as time, approximate animal count, travel direction, and photographs; submissions are reviewed before publication.
