The calculator separates two commonly conflated dates: unopened shelf life and the period after opening. It can work with incomplete information, but labels the result when one line was not included and declines to calculate when both are missing. The site also documents a source-and-date process for product labels and ingredients, including Korean original text, MFDS material, and differences between Korean domestic and Taiwan-import packaging. A companion app is presented as a beta for date tracking and reminders.
