Field notes
The workflow treats physical books as evidence of gaps in digital access: sampled titles are checked against four named catalogues and assigned grades from no scan found through open full text. A specimen definition labeled v2.0 describes an 80-title sample from a 340-volume institutional technical library lot spanning 1949–1990. The displayed figures—62% never digitised and 91% not openly available—are explicitly presented as an illustrative composite, while sold lots are stated to receive a CSV row for each title.
