Bulb: a spoken field log for film photography
Bulb lets film photographers speak each frame’s settings and notes, calculates reciprocity adjustments, and writes the resulting data into lab scans.
Field notes
Bulb captures spoken exposure details during a roll, separating camera settings from the photographer’s free-form frame note. Its example turns a 4-second HP5+ meter reading into 6.3 seconds using an Ilford-published reciprocity figure, then maps the result into fields such as ExposureTime, FNumber, ISO, and ImageDescription. The page says scans are matched to the roll after lab processing and that pixels remain untouched. The iPhone app is presented as a beta headed toward the App Store.
