An interactive atlas reconstructs Citi Bike station flows, routes, ridership, and rebalancing patterns across New York and Jersey City.

The project calculates weekday and weekend station flow by comparing arrivals with departures at a selected hour, then overlays current capacity from Citi Bike’s GBFS feed. Its historical archive spans New York and Jersey City from June 2013 onward, but the author explicitly warns that flow is not inventory because midnight dock occupancy was never published. A legacy-only rebalancing signal uses bike IDs to infer truck movement before that field disappeared in 2020.
