Metis identifies whether a searched term belongs to the learner’s own language or target language, then builds a card containing translation, definition, and bilingual example sentences. Reviews follow a fixed 1-, 2-, 4-, and 7-day sequence and vary the exercise format across flashcards, multiple choice, and fill-in-the-blank prompts. The free tier lists limits of 10 words in progress, three collections, and one language at once; Premium removes those ceilings and adds Home & Lock Screen widgets.
