Offset Bay, Dayton’s Iron-Offset Caliper

offsetbay.shop Observed source
Editorial interest 78/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A highly specific Dayton mill that measures the gap between an iron’s hosel centerline and leading edge.

Landing page captured for the 2026-08-26 issue.

Field notes

The measurement process uses the hosel axis as a fixed datum and records the leading-edge gap in millimeters across an entire set. The page gives blade irons a near-zero-to-2-mm range and cavity GI irons a typical 4-to-8-mm range, then adds a wet-mat test intended to approximate damp Great Miami turf. It also says the customer receives a mill sheet showing the set’s lag curve rather than a single club measurement.
