The tool translates model output into a boater-oriented interface: users can scrub a two-day forecast, tap the water for speed and direction, and see flood, ebb, and slack timing alongside tide marks. Its data story is unusually concrete, combining NOAA's operational Salish Sea model with 56 official current stations and blending narrow passages toward station predictions. Regional data packs are described as roughly 10 MB, allowing the forecast to function offline after a dockside update.
