Decode Texas: a ledger of legislative votes
A free, searchable archive of Texas House and Senate votes, linked back to the official journals, alongside plain-English summaries of Attorney General opinions.
Field notes
The archive groups legislators by session and lets readers move from a person or topic to individual roll calls, vote totals, and the relevant journal page. Its coverage table distinguishes regular and called sessions, including the unusual 2021 first Called Session, where the House’s only numbered roll calls were quorum calls. A separate section lists 1,631 formal Attorney General opinions issued since 2002 and provides plain-English explanations attributed to the original texts.
