Field notes
The project encodes confidence directly into its cartography: solid dots mark source-published positions, while dashed circles preserve uncertainty rather than inventing coordinates. It also records local practice, including a 235 m southern approach to Marmagkas bay and transit marks that can be read visually without GPS. The collection currently spans the Ionian and Basque coasts and draws on public material in four languages.
