SplitJapan keeps the yen-and-I-O-U math out of the holiday
A no-signup bill splitter for Japan trips, where one person records shared expenses in yen and each traveler sees a balance in their own currency.
Field notes
The workflow records a payer, participants, description, and yen amount, then assigns each person a balance in their selected home currency. Exchange rates are fixed at the moment an expense is entered, and the interface aims to reduce settlement to the minimum number of transfers. The page says trip data remains in the browser and share link rather than being uploaded to SplitJapan servers; after further expenses, the group must share the link again.
