Vigil separates proof of work from the work itself: an agent submits a SHA-256 fingerprint and label, receives an Ed25519-signed receipt, and lets anyone verify it against a pinned public key. Its other endpoints cover receipt-chain audits up to 1,000 records, interval-based webhook alerts, and journals that accept opaque bytes for client-side encryption.
