Volkus, the Anonymous Demographic Experiment
Credibility concern recorded. The source reference remains available for verification and correction.
Volkus proposes an anonymous social network where every post and vote carries a publicly visible demographic label derived from a webcam scan.
Field notes
Volkus separates the public identity of a participant from a demographic label that remains attached to their posts and votes. The homepage says its client-side pipeline combines MediaPipe FaceMesh with custom MobileNetV2 ONNX models running through WebAssembly, and reports roughly 60-millisecond per-face inference. It also describes a device-fingerprint token replacing ordinary account creation. These are site-stated mechanisms and performance figures, not independently verified results.
