White-Eyed Frogs borrows the language of a scavenger hunt—“1,000 small witnesses,” sightings, and a hashtag—then removes the usual competition, prize, map, and ranking. Its unusually detailed safety rules turn a whimsical participatory artwork into a small study in how online play can account for privacy, property, animals, and public space.
