Why it surfaced

For $420, a brand gets 1,000 aura and a chance to displace its rivals; the currency is explicitly imaginary, but the payment and referral traffic are real. The leaderboard’s copy turns ordinary businesses into a miniature absurdist food chain, from “Roasted at sea level. Priced at orbit.” to “Cloud-shaped carbs for ground-based people.”

Aura Jungle sells fictional aura packs that let brands climb a live, pay-to-win ranking with referral links back to their websites.
