Doom Signals
A live risk dashboard that gathers official space, climate, earthquake, conflict, and other monitoring feeds into a weekly radar and daily board.
Field notes
The homepage combines browser-fetched indicators with a manually framed daily board. Its threshold language is unusually explicit: Quiet, Watch, and Elevated use NOAA and USGS bins rather than an opaque house score, and failed requests become stale instead of silently preserving prior readings. The board also records source-specific context, such as NASA’s Sentry status for asteroid 2026 QY1 and the USGS classification of a Nepal event as glacial collapse rather than an earthquake.
